JOANNA GARDNER BIO

At the young age of 16, Joanna formed her own group called Joanna's Band and they performed weekend gigs at local nightclubs.

At a chance meeting, Joanna was introduced to British music group, Loose Ends who were recording in Philadelphia with record producer Nick Martinelli who also produced Diana Ross, Stephane Mills and Chaka Kahn. Impressed by Joanna's vocal talent, Nick brought her to Philly World Records and within five days, Joanna's recording debut vocals were featured on, "Today's Your Lucky Day" by Harold Melvin.  Soon thereafter she appeared on Loose Ends' Album "So Where Are You."

Joanna's star rose quickly and the young talent released a self-titled debut album, "Pick Up The Pieces."  The song "Watching You" peaked at #7 on the U.S. Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.  To her surprise her other songs, "Pick Up the Pieces," "We Can Make It", Special Feelings," and "I Could Never Love Another Like You", were a hit with UK soul fans.  She rapidly developed a substantial fan base in the UK.

Joanna Gardner recorded the hit single and musical score "First Love Never Dies" with Eugene Wilde for the movie "Rappin", with Mario Van Peebles.

In 2012 Ms. Gardner represented the United States and performed for President Obiang of Equatorial Guinea along with other Presidents of Countries of Continental Africa at the Formal Opening of the "Leon H. Sullivan World Peace Summit" in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea where she received a standing ovation and Formal Salute for her Stunning Live Performance of "The Impossible Dream".

Ms. Gardner proudly performed in Washington DC at both Inaugural Balls for President Barack and First Lady Back & Michele Obama in 2008 & 2012 as well as the Inaugural Ball in 2004 for George W Bush.

Joanna's powerful vocals continue to be in demand as evidenced by her impressive live performances.  Today, she splits her time wowing audiences between the UK and the United States.
